At Fitness Together the experience of your first session is very important to us. You will be greeted when you walk into
the studio by one of our staff. You can change into workout clothes or come already dressed to train. We will get you
started with a 10 to 15 minute warmup, and then you and your trainer will go into one of our private training suites and
start a program specifically designed for you.
We recommend that you wear comfortable workout clothes, something that is a little loose fitting as to not restrict your
mobility. Shorts or sweat pants, a short-sleeve or long-sleeve workout shirt, whatever you feel most comfortable with. Your
training sessions are conducted in private, so we like to stress comfort over fashion.
We recommend a good exercise shoe that provides good lateral support. Cross-trainer style sneakers are a great choice.
If you have running sneakers they are fine as well. Dress shoes, open toed shoes, and shoes with a heel can not be worn
during a training session. And, though rare, we've had a client or two who's tried to convince us that training in their bare feet is ok,
but we'd rather you save experience for your next trip for the beach.
Depending on your current level of physical activity, it's possible that a new client may feel a little muscle soreness
a day or 2 days after their first couple of training sessions. Your trainer will design a program that takes into account
your current level of physical activity, and with their experience and your feedback, will adjust your training to a level
that is appropriate for you.
At Fitness Together we pride ourselves on providing a highly individualized training experience. Our training staff will design
a training program that is unique to you and your individual fitness goals. When you train with us, your trainer is focused
completely on you. You don't wait for equipment, you don't share equipment. One trainer, focused on one client in a fully equipped
private training suite.
In a traditional gym environment you get a tour of the facility, a pat on the back for good luck, and then
you are on your own. What exercises are appropriate for you? Are you exercising correctly to minimize the risk of injury? Maybe the
stranger working out next to you knows. That's not how we do it at Fitness Together. Our trainers guide you through every exercise,
during every training session, every time. Think of it as a partnership in your health and wellbeing.
Working with a personal trainer is one of the most successful ways to improve your health and fitness. How do you know
if a Fitness Together personal trainer is the right choice for you? Consider what our personal
trainers can help you achieve:
- Improve your overall fitness.
- Reach or maintain a healthy weight.

- Learn new skills.
- Benefit from the buddy system.
The great thing about a Fitness Together personal trainer is that no experience is required. If you've never trained
before, don't worry. Your trainer will guide, teach, coach, and walk you through every exercise, step-by-step to ensure
you understand how to do each and every exercise. If you have any questions during your session, your trainer is there to
help answer each and every one of them.
We've successfully trained and helped improve the performance of a wide array of competitive athletes. From
